Thursday I went to Regina where Ashley and I ate super at India House, where we barely made it in time to finish our supper before they were closing. The food was fantastic as usual, and we made sure to have leftovers. The weather was unusually cold for April, and it stayed that way through [...]

G'day all!We are going back into the past - it is after all nearly two weeks since I took the pics I'll show today.Fort Collins, day three.Oh dear. This day did not start well. We had gone out for dinner with Nathan's new team the night before. I had a lovely gluten free noodle dish. Something kept me awake until 4am. Argh! I just could not sleep. I had to flush something out of my system (and cistern) literally before I could get to sleep. If I had had anti-histamines with me it would've been easier but I didn't have any.Over the previous couple of nights Nathan and I had both woken up about 3:30 or so. He did again that night. I never got the chance to wake up then. LOL. At last I fall asleep. Blessed blessed sleep!6am the clock radio alarm go[...]

These things were all on my street. It's incredible the beautiful things that people idly discard, isn't it? That said, on the first sunny weekend of the year, the morning after going to see Wicked again and then attending a Country and Western Hoe-Down at a stone circle with a lovely hypnotist, is it any surprise that everything on the street seems beautiful. That looking down at the street's as amazing as looking up to find faces in the clouds.

This is a photo of the ceiling mural inside the chapel of Mount St. Mary University. Ligia and I were passing through the Maryland countryside on our way back from Gettysburg, we liked the architecture, and stopped to take photos. I have a ton more to postprocess, but really wanted to post this photo today [...]

to get a passport?a local activist thinks the federal government is trying to prevent him from leaving the u.s. because of his anti-war efforts that included displaying pictures of iraq war victims.thomas hays, 38, says he applied for a passport with his birth certificate, social security card and washington state identification card in february. he then received a surprise in the mail at the end of the month when the government said it needed much more documentation -- some of which is difficult to quickly obtain -- to give him a passport. the state department says it wanted hays to provide "school transcripts, high school yearbook pages showing your name and photograph, religious records, medical records, (and) tax/employment records." all the records, inc[...]

The Wayfarers by Rupert Brooke Is it the hour? We leave this resting-place Made fair by one another for a while. Now, for a god-speed, one last mad embrace; The long road then, unlit by your faint smile. Ah! the long road! and you so far away! Oh, I’ll remember! but . . . each crawling day Will pale a little your [...]

Higher upper: Hey, have you done any depositions?Me: Umm...no.Higher upper: Well, maybe this would be a good thing, a real learning experience for you.Me: Nah, I've read enough of them. Just say, "Object - form."Higher upper: [thinks for a minute, then laughs] Still, at least you could say you've done one.
